In Aden , A Meeting Discusses Updating The Industrial And Commercial Establishments Database.
A meeting held today in the capital, Aden, attended by president of Central Statistics Organization, Dr. Safa Mautee, representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade committee, and General Director of Planning and Statistics, Afaf Abdullah, discussed enhancing cooperation and coordination to collect and update the database of industrial and commercial establishments.
The meeting, attended by the head of the technical team for relief and international cooperation at Presidency of the Republic of Yemen, Dr. Maryam Al-Dughani, discussed the industrial establishments database prepared by the Industry Sector at Ministry of Industry and the Department of Personnel and Industry at Central Statistics Organization. A preliminary presentation was given, including the available information and data and their importance in supporting economic decision-making and industrial planning.
The meeting also discussed the workflow of the data revision committee and the formation of two teams from the Ministry of Industry and Trade and Central Statistics Organization for this work. This will improve the quality and accuracy of the establishments database data, and emphasize the importance of coordination between the two parties to ensure the achievement of the desired objectives of the update process.
The meeting also addressed the monthly bulletin being prepared by the two parties, as well as the importance of conducting a comprehensive industrial survey. It was agreed to give the establishment database utmost importance as a cornerstone of planning for the ministry and the state, enhancing the transparency of the industrial sector and helping support investors and decision-makers. Participants emphasized the importance of ongoing cooperation between the Central Statistics Organization (CSO) and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, emphasizing the need for collective action to achieve the desired goals of developing the industrial sector and strengthening the national economy.
