Background
This department is responsible for providing environmental statistics, as its work is based on providing environmental statistical data directly related to the environment, such as water and desalination indicators, climate change, biodiversity, natural resources (land and marine), as well as the pattern of sustainable consumption and production, with the aim of assisting decision makers. Planners and researchers in this field.
Methodology
In providing its data, CSO ’s environmental department relies on two sources:
- collecting ongoing data in cooperation with agencies related to the environmental aspect.
- Implementing surveys in the environmental field.
