The Statistical Training Center at Central Statistics Organization launches a training course in (Economic Forecasts Using E Views), with support from the United Nations Population Fund

In its continuous efforts to improve the work of the national statistical system for the better, the Statistical Training Center at the Central Statistics Organization launched on Wednesday a training course in (Economic Forecasts Using EViews) with support from the United Nations Population Fund and within the framework of building the capabilities of the organization and statistics departments in a number of ministries, from September 4 to 12, 2024 in the capital, Aden.
At the beginning of the training course, Dr. Safa Mautee, president  of the Central Statistics Organization, gave a speech in which she welcomed all trainees from the employees of the Ministries of Finance and Industry, the Central Bank, and the employees of the Central Statistics Organization participating in the course and Providing a comprehensive explanation of the essence of the training course, its importance and its basic objectives that contribute to develop the skills and capabilities of the trainees, indicating the tasks that will fall on the shoulders of the employees upon completion of the training in reflecting them in their work.
 She indicated that the course targeted 12 male and female trainees with the aim of developing their skills, enhancing their capabilities, and increasing their knowledge about economic forecasts using the E views program, each in line with the needs and requirements of his/her field of specialization, which would improve the quality of work and its outputs in the correct manner.
She stressed on the need to deal with all statistical problems in the data when estimating regression models such as autocorrelation, multicollinearity, variance difference, and model formulation errors, in addition to time series analysis, unit root methods, joint integration testing, and panel data.
She asked all trainees to commit, exert more effort, and focus more accurately to make the most of everything they will receive during the training days and come up with new and diverse visions and ideas that can be worked on using the (E Views) program.
She thanked Dr. Hoda Baashan, for her efforts in building the capabilities of CSO’s employees and her previous training of the first group of employees on this program.
As well as ,Dr.  Hoda Baashan welcomed all the trainees and wished them success. She also provided a summary of the course objectives, expected outcomes, and areas of use. The seven-days training course covers a lot of knowledge and information about the main interface of the (E Views) program, descriptive analysis, and in-depth analysis.
