President of Central Statistics Organization Meets Director office of International Migration Organization in Aden

Today ,Dr. Safa Mautee met at Central Statistics Organization office in the capital, Aden, Mr. Muhannad Al-Rubaie, Director of International Organization for Migration’s office in Aden, and Mr. Philip Tigerman, Director of Displacement Matrix Project, Mrs. Katja Jurek, Project Coordinator in the organization, and Ms. Wiam Ahmed, coordination officer of Organization.
Dr. Safa welcomed Mr. Philip Tigerman and those who attend with him and thanked them for the support provided by international migration to CSO , then discussed a number of topics , including proposals to improve the quality of the Displacement Tracking Matrix data, as well as statistical methodologies in collecting displacement data and covering the largest possible amount to reflect the true number of displacement and the pressure on the areas to which they were displaced.
On other hand, the director of the organization’s office in Aden and his companions praised the role of CSO in the Displacement Tracking Matrix in the 39th session and stressed on the partnership with CSO.
During the meeting, Dr. Mautee discussed aspects of future mutual cooperation between Central Statistics Organization and International Migration Organization and insisted on the necessity of a mobilization of international organizations to conduct a comprehensive census of population, including population movements and displacement due to war, so that development and humanitarian plans can be prepared that accommodate these variables on the ground. The meeting was attended by Eng . Hussein Abdel Nabi, General Manager of Data Analysis Processing of CSO , and Eng. Adly Abdel Karim, General Manager of Network Management and Office Equipment of CSO and Mrs. Jamila Saeed, General Manager of Branches Department at CSO.
