The Central Statistical Organization (CSO) held a meeting of the National Statistics Team to Discuss Enhancing Integration and Activating Statistical Units.

A meeting of the National Statistics Team, comprised of the CSO and statistical units from several economic ministries, was held today at the CSO headquarters. The meeting was supported by the European Union, represented by the OECD and PARIS21.
The meeting Discussed several Issues, most notably the Enumeration work Carried out by the CSO using Administrative Records in Directorates and through field visits by CSO teams to several Governorates. Discussions also focused on mechanisms for integrating and exchanging data on a monthly basis, as well as the economic surveys currently being conducted by the CSO to compile GDP and national accounts.
The meeting also reviewed preparations for the launch of the actual Household Budget Survey, following the successful completion of the pilot survey.
The meeting addressed the Prime Minister’s directives regarding the activation of statistical units across various sectors, from the public to the cooperative and private sectors, in accordance with Law No. (28) of 1995 concerning statistics and its implementing regulations, and the Cabinet Resolution issued in 1999.
Through these Efforts, and with the Support of International Organizations such as the European Union and the World Bank.
Central Statistical Organization aims to activate the national Statistical system. This system Comprises the Organization itself, its branches, and the Statistics Departments in Public, Private, mixed, and Cooperative Institutions. Furthermore, the organization seeks to develop and automate the administrative records system and link it to the national statistical system to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of data with the highest quality standards.
