Today, President of Central Statistics Organization and a number of technical team in CSO meet Mr. Vito Antini, chief regional economist in the Comprehensive Growth Program and head of the financial team at the regional center of the United Nations Development Programme, along with both Prof. Walid Baharoun, the United Nations Development Program coordinator in Aden office, and Prof. Abdul Majeed Al-Sheikh from UNDP.

President of CSO welcomed the attendees and informed them, before discussing with the specialized technicians, about the efforts made by CSO in providing and building the database in the country in general and the economic database to shift to the development planning stage in the country. President of CSO stressed on the importance of conducting a comprehensive inventory, as no development planning can be carried out without specifying the basic foundations based on the number of population and facilities. It is no longer possible to rely on the projections of 2004 census, which will expire in 2025.So, it is the responsibility of international and international organizations to assist CSO performs this inventory ,she explained that CSO presented two important projects: a comprehensive inventory and a household budget survey.
Central Statistics Organization has succeeded in surveying the household budget survey , the implementation procedures of which will begin this year, God willing, in order to obtain data on the poverty rate, the weights of goods and services, and the new consumer pattern that emerged from the post-war period, to reflect real and updated numbers and reflect the developments of the period, such as the price index and inflation. The expert and the team accompanying him reviewed the economic and financial data produced by CSO and the bulletins issued by the CSO on a permanent and regular basis.
The technical team consists of Ms. Iman Ali, Economic Sector Manager , Ms. Iftikhar Abdel Halim, Records Manager and Ms. Enas Al-Arishi, National Accounts Manager and Mr. Hassan Ibrahim, Data Quality Manager.
