Monday , Dr. Safaa Mautee , President of the Central Statistics Organization met the Governor of Lahj and the Head of the Local Council, Major General Ahmed Abdullah Al-Turki, to discuss strengthening cooperation and building a comprehensive national database.<\/span><\/h5>\n
During the meeting, Dr. Safa discussed the challenges and difficulties facing CSO’s branch in Lahj, as well as the needs and proposed solutions to contribute to improve the quality of work and keeping pace with electronic developments in data collection and analysis, she also expressed her great pleasure at visiting CSO’s branch in Lahj Governorate after its official activation in August 2022. De. Safa explained that the visit aims to enhance work with the local authorities in the governorate to build an accurate and comprehensive database at the national and local levels.<\/span><\/h5>\n
President of CSO called for concerted efforts with head office to activate statistical units in all facilities and to prevent any surveys from being conducted except through the Central Statistics Organization, in implementation of Statistics Law No. 28 of 1995 and to preserve data confidentiality.<\/span><\/h5>\n
The Governor of Lahj, Major General Ahmed Al-Turki, emphasized the importance of data in advancing the governorate and developing the necessary development plans in light of population growth and significant urban expansion, He also affirmed the support of the local authority in Lahj Governorate for the branch in collecting data from various agencies, in addition to overcoming all difficulties facing data collection, given its importance.<\/span><\/h5>\n
Finally, the two parties agreed to enhance joint work, including the publication of the annual statistical book for Lahj Governorate.<\/span><\/h5>\n
The meeting was attended by the General Director of Central Statistics Organization branch, a number of leaders from CSO’s office, and members of the local authority in Lahj Governorate.<\/span><\/h5>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
