President of Central Statistics Organization received Mr. Diego Zorrilla, Deputy Resident Representative of the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs, at CSO office

Mr. Diego expressed his happiness with this visit, and the role of the United Nations Office for Humanitarian Affairs was reviewed in the fields of development, humanitarian affairs, and coordination with United Nations organizations working in Yemen.
Mr. Diego listened to the president of CSO about the role of the Central Statistics Organization in accordance with Statistics Law No. (38) of 1995 and its governing regulations and she discussed CSO’ s relationship with international organizations .
The Deputy Resident Representative was also briefed on the necessity of conducting a comprehensive listing of the households , housing, and establishments, considering that the last projection of the 2004 census will be on 2025, therefore there is an inevitable need to conduct a comprehensive household listing .
Dr.Safa insisted on the need to work in partnership whenever the nature of the work requires to ensure sustainability and quality.
At the end of this visit, the two parties agreed to cooperate and intensify cooperation efforts in development and humanitarian work in the country.
The meeting with the Deputy Resident Representative was attended by the Private Secretary to the Deputy Envoy, Mr. Zakaria Jama and a number of technical specialists of CSO.
