President of Central Statistics Organization meets UNDP livelihoods expert

Today, Dr. Safaa Mautee met at the office of Central Statistics Organization in the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Mustafa, a livelihoods expert in United Nations Development Program (UNDP). Dr. Safa welcomed the attendees and during the meeting, Mr. Ahmed discussed the program’s interest with those concerned in the field of food security, of which CSO is one of them. Dr. Safa explained that this matter is one of CSO priorities, and there is a Food Security Information Systems Unit in CSO that was established by Presidential decree in 2014 and it is an essential part of CSO and the food security and livelihood surveys that were implemented with WFP. During the meeting, future cooperation between CSO and UNDP was discussed and building a strategy for food security and livelihoods. Dr. Safa also checked with the guests the offices and departments and how work runs in Central Organization of Statistics. This meeting was attended by Ruqaya Saeed, coordinator of Rural Resilience Project (3) , Mr. Abdo Mohsen, livelihoods expert for Resilience Project (3). From CSO , General Director of Food Security Information Systems Department Rua’a Al-Saqqaf’s , General Director of Data Quality Department Eng. Hassan Ibrahim and General Manager of Data Processing and Analysis Department Eng. Hussein Abdulnabi .
